Barry Hix, MBA, MPH

Barry brings a diverse set of skills and competencies to the leadership team at Viral Sign as a result of his experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare delivery, medical device, and healthcare technology industries.

As a commercial leader, Barry has led venture funded, early commercial stage entities as well as private equity-owned organizations with more than $200 million in annual sales. This experience has required him to lead organizations into and through early commercial stage activity, asset acquisition, mergers, force expansion, and force and asset restructuring.

Barry has held board positions with Allina Healthcare and Cadence Biomedical. He has served as speaker at national conferences including the Federation of American Health Systems, the Global Business Forum on Health, and HIMMS.

Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in marketing from Georgia State University, and a master’s degree in public health from Emory University.

Bill Dornbach

Chief Operating Officer

Bill Dornbach has extensive background in strategic planning, product launch, and brand development for both reimbursed and consumer-focused healthcare products. For Viral Sign, Bill’s skill set, experience, and insights are deployed across a number of strategic areas, including operations, product development, marketing operations, sales support, client services, and business development.

Bill’s operational history extends across consumer engagement, enterprise transition, including preparing for private equity investment, merger preparation, and post-merger integration of marketing, sales, and internal operations. Bill’s operation and analytical expertise, has led to the launch of more than 26 companies and products, along with multiple client solution patents, including technology-enabled CRM solutions.

Bill has held several board positions in both the healthcare and technology industries.

Marcos Brioschi, MD, PHD

Developer of Viral Sign and Chief Medical Advisor

Dr. Brioschi is an internationally renown luminary in the field of infrared medicine as a result of his work over the past twenty years. He is the President of the Brazilian Association of Thermology (ABRATERM) and is an honorary member of the American Academy of Thermography (AAT). Dr. Brioschi is also the inventor of Viral Sign and is a valued participant in peer-to-peer conversations with physicians and medical professionals.

His work in medical infrared imaging includes a broad cross-section of disease states, including peripheral vascular disease, oncology, neuromuscular conditions, pain management, and infectious disease. His focus on the practical applications for infrared medical imaging to identify influenza-like illnesses in individuals who are presymptomatic dates to 2003 and the identification of SARS-CoV. To date, Dr. Brioschi has written over 250 scientific papers related to the practice of thermographic medicine.

Dr. Robert G. Schwartz

Chief Medical Officer, USA

Dr. Schwartz is the Chairman of the Board for the American Academy of Thermology (AAT). In his role as Chair of the AAT, Dr. Schwartz has been developing guidelines and practice recommendations incorporating the use of infrared imaging for over thirty years. In addition to his role at Viral Sign, Dr. Schwartz will continue to serve patients at his medical practice focused on physical medicine and rehabilitation in Greenville, South Carolina.

Dr. Schwartz is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Academy of Thermology. He is also a fellow of the Society For Vascular Medicine. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Schwartz completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Schwartz is published in leading medical journals, including Archives of Physical Medical and Rehabilitation, Journal of Neurological and Orthopedic Medicine & Surgery, Orthopedics, Journal of Orthopedic Medicine, Journal of Back & Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, and Pain Procedures in Clinical Practice. He has served as medical director for a number of organizations and institutions, including Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and St. Francis Community Hospital.

Mayco Moreira

Chief Technology Officer

Mayco Moreira has an extensive background in mechanical engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI).  At Viral Sign, Mayco is leading the AI product development effort.

His prior experience includes developing  global solutions from concept to deployment for Fortune 50 to 500 clients.  As an experienced IBM Watson Certified Developer, Mayco focused his time at IBM on AI, big data, and robotics.

Utilizing his experience with IBM, Mayco went on to develop high level applications and technologies to disrupt the health industry with innovative products. By leveraging state-of-the art AI techniques in the field of medical thermography, Mayco created and patented innovative solutions from the identification and prevention of work-related injuries to early cancer detection.

Mayco holds a degree in Engineering from FEI Central University in Brazil, certificates from UN San Diego on Improving Deep Neural Networks and Hyperparameter Tuning, plus course work from John Hopkins University in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science with a focus on Optimality properties of Deep Networks, Object Oriented Java Programming and Data Structure.

Don Dumoulin

Don Dumoulin is the CEO and Owner of Precise Tooling Solutions, as well as Next Chapter, LLC. Precise Tooling Solutions (Columbus, Indiana) is a specialty manufacturing operation dedicated to providing full service, experienced tooling for the plastic injection molding industry. Under Don’s leadership, Precise Tooling was recognized as one of Inc. Magazine’s Top 5,000 fastest growing companies in 2014 and 2015. The company has also been recognized as the #2 Best Place to Work in North America in 2016 by Plastic News. In 2019, Precise Tooling was named as Mold Builder of the Year by MoldMaking Technology Magazine. 

Prior to purchasing Precise Tooling Solutions, Don was Chief Executive Officer at King Systems, a specialty medical device firm focused on creating products for anesthesia and respiratory specialists practicing in the hospital and surgery center settings. King Systems was the market leader in both disposable anesthesia circuits and the breathing masks used in surgical procedures. 

Prior to becoming CEO at King Systems, Don was President at Empi Recovery Sciences, a Blackstone Group portfolio company. He was also Senior Vice President and General Manager for Roche Diagnostics responsible for the company’s $900+ Million North American diabetes business. Don also spent 5 years at Smithkline Beecham and 10+ years at Proctor and Gamble. 

In addition to his board responsibilities at Viral Sign Inc., Don is currently on the Board of Directors at Ball State University Foundation, the Ball State University Miller College of Business Deans Advisory Board, the Purdue University Technical Assistance Council. He is a past board member of the United Way of Central Indiana, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and a number of companies that have had successful exits such as Synovia Solutions and Revolutionary Medical Products. 

Don is a 1982 graduate of the Miller College of Business at Ball State University and has been honored by Ball State with a Benny Award, a Miller College of Business Award of Achievement and a Miller College of Business Award of Distinction. 

Ralph Stringer

Ralph Stringer is President of Neostar Sports & Entertainment, a full-service marketing firm headquartered in Weston, Florida. Ralph is an industry icon in sports, corporate, and brand marketing. 

Neostar serves as the exclusive marketing representative for some of the most iconic personal brands, including Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino and Hall of Fame Defensive End Jason Taylor. Neostar has helped orchestrate Dan Marino’s progression into one of the most recognized and successful corporate spokespersons.  

Ralph broke into the sports marketing and agency industry with Advantage International (Octagon), one of the industry’s leading firms. Before forming Neostar, Ralph served as President of FIRSTPLUS Sports Marketing. 

With corporations, Ralph has worked with numerous leading brands to develop a comprehensive marketing effort, including the creation of the brand story, positioning strategy, and messaging campaign. He has also been a leading advocate for creating and sustaining a corporate culture defined by diversity. To support this priority, Ralph developed the initial Diversity Internship Programs for The PGA Tour and the NASCAR. 

In 2017, in partnership with Dan Marino, Ralph launched the Stay Healthy Zone, LLC, a digital health and wellness company focused on corporate employee wellness. Stay Healthy Zone reflects the commitment Ralph and Dan share in establishing healthy nutrition and lifestyle habits in America’s workforce. 

In addition to his board role with Viral Sign, Ralph sits on the board of the Dan Marino Foundation and the Jason Taylor Foundation. He previously served on the boards of the NFL Quarterbacks Club and the Urban League of Broward County. 

Ralph was born and raised in Warren, Ohio and graduated from North Carolina State University where he earned All-America honors as a defensive back and kick returner. Ralph is the father of four and resides in Plantation, Florida.
